Dental Check-Up in Leeds — £24 New Patient Consultation

A check-up is not just a look around. It is a full examination of the teeth, gums and soft tissues, with X-rays where needed, and a clear explanation of what we find. At Twilight Dental in Woodhouse, Leeds, a new patient consultation is £24 and includes examination, any necessary X-rays and a diagnosis, with evening appointments seven days a week.

What your £24 consultation includes

  • A full clinical examination of every tooth, existing restorations, gums and bite.
  • Any X-rays needed to see decay between teeth and bone levels that cannot be seen by eye.
  • A soft tissue and oral cancer check of the tongue, cheeks, palate and throat.
  • A clear diagnosis, explained in plain language, with photographs where they help.
  • A written treatment plan with costs, so nothing is a surprise.
  • No obligation to book any treatment on the day.

Who this suits

  • Anyone who has not seen a dentist for a while and wants to know where they stand
  • People who cannot get an NHS appointment and want to be seen without waiting
  • Students registered elsewhere who need to be seen in Leeds
  • Shift workers and commuters who need evening appointments
  • Anyone wanting a second opinion on a treatment plan from another practice
  • People considering cosmetic work who want honest advice before committing

What happens at the appointment

  1. A conversation first. What is bothering you, what your history is, and what you want from your teeth.
  2. Medical history, including medications, since many affect dental treatment and healing.
  3. Examination of teeth, existing fillings and crowns, gums, bite and soft tissues.
  4. X-rays where clinically justified.
  5. Explanation. We show you what we have found and what it means.
  6. A written plan, prioritised into what needs doing now, what can wait, and what is optional.

No lectures

A lot of people put off coming because they expect to be told off. That is not how we work. If it has been years, or if things have got out of hand, we are interested in the plan from here, not in your history. If you are anxious, say so when you book and we will build the appointment around that — see our page for nervous patients.

How often should you come back?

The interval should reflect your risk, not a fixed six months for everyone. Someone with healthy gums, no decay for years and no risk factors may safely be seen annually. Someone with a history of gum disease, a high sugar intake, dry mouth or who smokes needs to be seen more often. We recommend an interval and tell you why. If you want to spread routine care over the year, our membership plans include check-ups and hygiene visits for a monthly fee.

Check-ups at Twilight Dental — your questions answered

What is included for £24?

A full examination, any X-rays that are clinically needed, and a diagnosis with a written treatment plan. Treatment itself is quoted separately and always agreed with you first.

Do I need to register or be referred?

No. We see new and one-off private patients without registration or referral.

Can I be seen in the evening?

Yes. We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Are you an NHS practice?

No, we are a private practice. We publish our fees openly on our price list so you can see costs before you call.

I have not been to a dentist in years. Is that a problem?

Not for us. It is one of the most common reasons people book with us, and the first appointment is about establishing where you stand.

Will I be pressured into treatment?

No. You will get a written plan with priorities and costs, and you decide what and when. Nothing is booked on the day unless you want it.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, for students and NHS staff. Ask reception when you book.
