Twilight Dental is at 1 Moor View, LS6 1AQ — about ten minutes on foot from the University of Leeds campus and Leeds University Union, and a short bus ride from Leeds Beckett. We take 10% off treatment for students, we are open 24 hours a day, and you do not need to register or be referred to be seen.

The discount, and how simple it is
10% off all treatment. It is not a one-off introductory offer and it is not limited to particular treatments — it comes off everything, every visit, for as long as you are studying.
Any reasonable proof works: a student card, a university email address, an enrolment or acceptance letter. Whatever you have. Bring it to your first appointment and we will put it on your record so you never have to ask again.
The 10% applies to treatment rather than to the £24 new patient consultation, which is already about a third of what most practices in Leeds charge for a first appointment. It also stacks with a membership plan, so if you are on Essentials the student discount comes off on top of the discount the plan already gives you.
Still registered at home? You can still be seen
This is the single most common thing students say to us, and it stops far too many people getting seen. You do not have to transfer anything, deregister anywhere, or explain yourself. Come in for the one problem and go back to your dentist at home with our notes, or move across to us properly. Either is fine.
There is no waiting list and no registration process. You ring, we book you in.
What we see most in students
Wisdom teeth
They tend to arrive between eighteen and twenty-five, which is to say, during your degree. See wisdom tooth pain.
Toothache out of nowhere
Usually decay that has been quietly getting on with it. See toothache.
Chipped front teeth
Nights out, sport, a kerb. Often fixable in one visit with composite bonding.
Lost fillings
Almost always on a weekend. See lost filling or crown.
Swollen or bleeding gums
Very common and very treatable. A hygiene visit usually sorts it.
The check-up you have put off
Two years, five years, since school — we have heard all of them and nobody is going to lecture you.
Term time is the whole problem
Dental problems do not arrange themselves around the academic calendar. Toothache turns up in the middle of exam week. Wisdom teeth flare in first term when you have not found a dentist yet. Something goes wrong four days before you go home for Christmas and the practices at home are shut too.
That is exactly the gap we exist to fill. Our evening clinic runs 6.30pm to 10pm every day of the week, reception is answered around the clock, and there is an on-call dentist overnight with a fixed out-of-hours fee after 10.30pm — quoted before you agree to anything.

What it costs, and paying for it
The new patient consultation is £24 and includes the examination, any X-rays needed and a written treatment plan, so you know the cost before anything is done. Everything else is on the price list, with the student 10% coming off treatment.
If a treatment plan is more than you can pay in one go, ask reception about spreading it over instalments. And if you would rather budget monthly, membership plans start at £9.99 a month.
