When Headingley practices are closed, we are not

The practices along Otley Road and North Lane keep ordinary hours. Most close between 5pm and 5.30pm on weekdays and are shut on Sundays. That is perfectly fine until a filling comes out on a Saturday evening, or an abscess wakes you at three in the morning.

Our reception is answered around the clock and books you in with the on-call dentist at the practice. The scheduled evening clinic runs 6.30pm to 10pm, seven days a week. After 10.30pm a fixed out-of-hours fee applies, and we tell you what it is before you agree to anything.

Getting here from Headingley

On foot

0.9 miles, roughly 20 minutes, and mostly flat — straight down the A660 past Hyde Park Corner.

By bus

Services along Otley Road and Woodhouse Lane stop within a few minutes’ walk. From Headingley centre it is a short ride towards town.

By car

About five minutes down the A660, then off the main road onto Moor View. Look for the blue front door and the blue step rails.

Parking

Free parking for patients, plus on-street parking on and around Moor View. You will not be circling the block at half past nine at night.

What we can treat the same night

Most things that hurt. Toothache, a dental abscess or facial swelling, a broken or chipped tooth, a lost filling or crown, a knocked-out tooth, wisdom tooth pain, and denture repairs. The full list is on our emergency dentist page.

We also do everything a general practice does — check-ups, hygiene visits, fillings, root canals, crowns and clear aligners. Plenty of people who first came to us at ten at night now come for their check-ups too.

What it costs

A new patient consultation is £24 and includes the examination, any X-rays needed and a written treatment plan. Everything else is on our price list, out-of-hours fees included, so you can see what you are agreeing to before you come.

If you would rather spread the cost, our membership plans start at £9.99 a month and cover your check-ups and hygiene visits by Direct Debit.

Headingley patients ask us

Are you actually in Headingley?

We are honest about this: LS6 1AQ sits on the Woodhouse side of the boundary. The CQC register and Google Maps both file us under Headingley, and we are a twenty-minute walk from Otley Road — but our street is Woodhouse, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise.

Do I have to leave my current dentist?

No. Plenty of people see us once for a problem and go back to their own practice with our notes. Others move across properly. Both are fine, and nobody will push you either way.

Can I come after work?

Yes. The evening clinic runs 6.30pm to 10pm, seven days a week, which is the whole reason the practice exists.

Is there parking?

Yes — free parking for patients, plus on-street parking on and around Moor View.

Do I need to register first?

No, and you do not need a referral. Call reception on 0113 819 7865 at any hour and we will book you in.

In pain, mid-term, and not registered anywhere?

That is exactly who we are here for. Call 0113 819 7865, book online, or message us on WhatsApp.
